This Project consists of the renovation and rehabilitation of a 3,500 sf, 1920’s passenger station.  The exterior trim, slate shingles, doors, and replacement windows were required to duplicate the original design with modern materials.  The interior of the station was also maintained as close to the original as possible, while complying with current building codes and providing handicapped access.  Project Elements included window repairs and glass replacement; slate roof repairs; structural and exterior trim repairs; interior plaster and trim repairs; new finishes; new electrical service, wiring, and lighting fixtures; restoration of plumbing fixtures and piping; and, related site work.

Lane Engineering provided complete Engineering and Architectural Services for the Project.  Construction documents were submitted to the VDOT for Transportation Enhancement review and the Virginia Department of Historic Resources.  The Project is funding by the Virginia Department of Transportation.
